We were slacking this week. We didn't pick out a drink. We had parties to attend. Our son had Doctor appointments (you can read about him here) B wasn't feeling good..sigh. Even my post is late!
So I busted out the UV Cake I bought a few weeks back. I was nervous because I wasn't so sure what to expect. I would either love it or hate it. I felt there would be no grey area.
I poured some into a shot glass and dipped a finger in...it was good. Not to vodka-ie not to sweet. I was sold!
B however, did not like it at all and would not even mix it into anything. Double boo!!!
With that said, here is my drink for the week:
Cake float:
Pour 1oz of UV Cake in a tom collins glass of root beer (I used Barq's) and stir.
YUM. It is defiantly something I would drink on occasion. It's an easy drink with minimal ingredients.
I also tried it in some chocolate milk....but we will save that for another post. ;-)

Hard Icy Nipple
This is what happens when I let B choose a drink, he chooses something that sound so dirty...
Recipe
2oz Jagermeister
3oz Ice 101 peppermint schnapps*
5oz Chocolate Milk
Mix in a high ball glass
*we used generic peppermint schnapps. I'm not sure if this affected the taste at all, but the schnapps we had was 30 proof where as the Ice 101 was 101 proof. Unfortunately, it is not sold in stores in our area. Maybe as a happy medium, try Dr. McGuillicuddy's.
First taste
B - I like it, it might be better as a shot though or maybe better with breakfast or as a dessert.
E - Yuck. It is very strong and I'm not sure if its from the schnapps or it's the fact I can taste the Jager.
We put ice and the drink into a shaker and tried again.
Second taste
B - It's better cold and shaken up
E - It's better, but I can still taste Jager.
We put it back into the shaker and added chocolate syrup
Third taste
B - It tastes even better with the syrup in it. I feel it evens everything out.
E - Yeah, defiantly better, but this is defiantly something I wouldn't be inclined to order.
Will you drink this again?
B - Yes
E - No
